These are things that are not inherently bad in reality, but they feel deeply hurtful to your heart. You suddenly become distressed, yet you cannot clearly understand the reason behind it, nor can you find an immediate solution. A trigger is usually set off by seeing or hearing something. Ultimately, a trigger always hides behind an underlying emotion or desire.
